EAT

The nicest place for having pelmeeni (dumplings) in Old Town his surely this one:

The cute place owned by three young ladies is situated in Sauna street between Väike-Karja and Viru street.
The prices are cheap: 7 eek for 100 g of pelmeeni and addings like salad and sauce. (Experience shows that a bowl full of pelmeeni, filled while being really hungry is not much more than 40 eek (2,70 EUR)…). The service is nice, the bathroom an event (leave your greetings to Tallinn with chalk on a blackboard) and the atmosphere between lively and relaxed.
The latest innovation is a tablesoccer. (Already tested. Works bad. … I lost.) But you can also ask for board games  if you feel like some action after the pelmeeni.
There is a book shelf for exchanging estonian, englisch and portuguese books (okay, there is only one portugues book…but feel free to add some new!)
The customers are mostly young people or travellers.

Trust the frog!

menue

This is one of the cheap eating places in Tallinn. A cafeteria with selfservice. You can have a whole meal (for example drink, salad, maindish) for about 60 eek (4 eur)!
this one you find on Kaarli puiestee, the street from Vabaduse Väljak to the National Library (uphill, left side of the street).
Fellow customers are Estonian working people going there for lunch, or students from the faculty of law.

HEAD ISU!
