Oleviste Church
Probably the most shoot steeple in Tallinn. The norwegian King Olaf II. gave his name for the church (or she church just took it over without asking, nobody remembers today).
Since the church was buildt in 13. century it was the highest building in Old Town. There are even people stating it once was the highest building in the world… 159 m. (After it burned down centuries ago, it was only rebuildt to a height of 123 m. Probably due to biblical reasons.) Try the view over Tallinn from there! The platform is open every day from 10 - 6 (daytime, of course).
Oleviste at night is impressing. Actually it is an alien-base. Somewhen they will start their spacesphip again and fly away. The only thing they’ll leave is the legend of a small people living in the east, speaking an incredible difficult language and eating potatoes and diary products all the time.
